THE ALLSUP SURVEY FORM – 12/18/02

We assume all retirees received a letter from Solutia and the one
page questionnaire from Allsup, Inc. The Retiree Association has
received a number of phone calls from disabled retirees expressing a concern
that they may be being targeted or singled out for dubious reasons. We called Allsup, Inc and the Benefits Resource Center with the
following questions: · What is the purpose for the
questionnaire/survey? · Why does Solutia need this information? · How will the information be used? ·
We asked Allsup: How are
you being paid by Solutia: a) flat fee, b) commission, r c) percentage basis
? Allsup and The Benefits Center either would not or could not answer any
of our questions. RECOMMENDATION
FROM THE RETIREE ASSOCIATION: We recommend that retirees do not
respond to the Allsup, Inc. questionnaire until we receive clear reasons for
Solutia’s need for such personal information. Solutia’s only stated purpose was to
“identify each individual’s status pertaining to Social Security &
Medicare benefits.” Our basic
question is why? Again, we recommend that you do not complete the
questionnaire. |
